Overview
Nokia Security Administration I (Course Version 4.6) is a two-day instructor-led course, which introduces the security administrator to the Nokia IP Security Platform. The course provides the information and the hands-on experience necessary to deploy, manage and maintain the Nokia family of IP security products. Lab exercises enable students to learn operational skills necessary to effectively manage Nokia IP Security Platforms.

Course objectives
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to: |
- Understand Nokia's IP Security Platform product offering and positioning
- Understand Nokia IP series hardware and software architecture
- Exhibit competency in installing and configuring the Nokia IP series in a network environment
- Be able to manage the Nokia IP series in a secure network environment
- Manage third party software installation, upgrades, and removals such as Check Point™ FW-1 NG® and RealSecure® for Nokia intrusion detection appliance
- Enable high availability through redundant firewalls
- Use troubleshooting tools and administrative procedures

Prerequisites
Persons attending this course should have completed the Check Point Security Administrator course, as well as have a working knowledge of internetworking concepts and an understanding of TCP/IP, network addressing, and subnet masks. They should also have knowledge of basic router concepts as they relate to Layer 3 of the OSI model, including RIPv1 and v2, and static routes. Basic knowledge of networking concepts and topologies, and an understanding of the
OSI model is required. |
